Chanel, Jacquemus, Loewe … the leading firms coincide in this original trend
2.55 by Chanel, Baguette by Fendi, Le Chiquito by Jacquemus … There are bags with such a special design that, sooner or later, they end up becoming icons, which not only means that they are the most unmistakable accessories, but that they even surpass the barriers of its own section. How? For example, with the last proposal in which the three firms mentioned above have coincided with others of as much weight as Loewe: turning their most famous bags into jewelry such as earrings, necklaces or bracelets. An original trend with a certain naive air that breaks with the minimalist style that has been prevailing in jewelry lately.
The earrings recorded on the catwalk
With pearls as a chain and a golden structure that imitates the famous quilting, Virginie Viard, creative director of Chanel, thus adapted the classic silhouette of the maison’s handbags to some fun earrings, although in her Spring / Summer 2021 show as well we could see necklaces with a large pendant in the shape of a bag. And Chanel is not the only one to include this same inspiration on her catwalk: Jacquemus has created a whole collection of gold jewelery in the shape of Le Chiquito, one of the favorite bags of reference stylists and influncers. On his website, earrings, necklaces and bracelets with the charm baptized with the same name are already for sale: from 150 euros -a price much lower than that of the bags, which start at 425- you can have a Le Chiquito in jewel version.
Options for all styles
Loewe and Fendi have also gone down the path of turning their bags into pendants. The first has just launched a scale adaptation of the Balloon bag in leather and brass (550 euros), while the Italian house has created different pendants versioning its Baguette bag, designed in 1997 and very trendy right now, almost 25 years later. With ultra-shiny black crystals or original yellow or pink sheepskin (like the model in the photo, which costs 746 euros), Fendi charms contrast a lot with the one designed by MM6 Maison Margiela, a brand that also supports the trend but of a more minimalist way. Inspired by a booty, they propose a silver pendant that hangs from a black ribbon (364 euros); a more discreet alternative to join this trend that undoubtedly brings joy to your look.
